Town of Obzor is situated at equal distance from city of Varna and city of Burgas. The town is among the oldest along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The history of the town is with duration more than 3 thousand years.
After its conquering from the Romans during 1 century Before Christ there was built a temple of Jupiter and the town received the name Teopolis (God’s town). Later here was located a summer residence of the Byzantine emperors. The Bulgarian fortress Kozyak was built after certain time.

The town is a part of municipality of Nesebar and it is with the longest beach strip, a unique combination of sea and mountain, the pearl of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
